This weekend we did something new ... CAMPING! Fortunately, I had a tub of unused camping gear, so we joined our friends at the lake. It was wonderful ... and made me realize how little time I take to actually relax. I think this will be a priority (taking advantage of such opportunities) this summer! 

Our big adventure was being stranded "at sea" and subsequently rescued by a boatful of SERIOUS senior fishermen! 

My oldest one had plenty of learning experiences as well ... one of which was woodcutting (including the full course in axe sharpening)! 

My little one had many experiences ... from boats to dogs, climbing rocks to balancing on logs! 

Spending some time in Atlanta was wonderful ... I spent some time with a close friend of mine and I even got to see old friends! It wasn't all easy, though, as I filled them in on life events of the past year.

Learning how to "play" guitar ... so much like me - that tongue really helps! 

I was quite impressed ... the band sounded quite GOOD! This was a practice concert for an upcoming competition.

I had my first "big photo trip" to Chicago ... WHAT A FUN JOB! I enjoyed myself on many levels and had a hard time leaving when my two days were up!

Best friend's birthdays are about the best way to spend an afternoon!

Icy adventures ... equipped with rubber boots, two swim suits and gloves! 

Look who joined us for a couple of days in Disney?? My best friend in the whole wide world!!! He was very excited to be in Disney World with us ... can you tell?

Peanut Man! I had never eaten boiled peanuts until I moved to the south ... and now we have our very own peanut man who brings these delicious treats to our office every week. YUM! 

A surprise of a morning ... geese on the pond! We decided it would be better to enjoy the opportunity to feed and photograph the geese instead of getting to school on time. 

It's always fun to enjoy unexpected surprises of nature in everyday life.

We played hopscotch and threw rocks in the pond this weekend ... these are nice mom moments. 

The favorite part of the trip for my littlest one was seeing horses ... she wants to be a rock 'n roll cowgirl! 

Even with help from one of my favorite friends, it was still hard to stay awake! 

Catching the children in action was difficult! There were many little faces flying by on Christmas day. 

The classic car was my favorite photo subject of the day. 

Christmas with relatives in Branson was wonderful ... I felt a little comatose, but hopefully the lack of schedules and brain activity was good for me!
